Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
[bruh-zil-yuh n | joo | jit-soo ]
is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques to force them in to submission via joint locks or chokeholds.
Carpio Jiu Jitsu focuses on the process of studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Vision.
Our approach to jiu jitsu prioritizes learning above external rewards such as medals, belts, or recognition. When the focus stays on understanding the art, improvement becomes inevitable and success follows naturally.
Our philosophy is simple. Never stop learning.
Learn. Stay curious. Enjoy the process. Master your craft.
Mission.
Our mission is to share the many benefits of jiu jitsu with our community. As a proven method of self defense, jiu jitsu develops both body and mind through physical training, discipline, and a supportive environment.
Through practice, students build confidence, resilience, and problem solving skills that extend far beyond the mats.
